Crazy quilt mini quilts!

I have been on a fabric kick!!! I took a break from the fan quilt and made a few more mini crazy quilts. These are 3" x 4" and I'll be listing them in my Etsy shop. I think a collection of these framed would look really cool!

I took a break from the fabric yesterday, I'm working on some funky, chunky charm bracelets, so I'll be posting some pics of that.

Here's a pic of some more of the fan blocks. I decided to do a few in black and white. I may leave them out, I'll have to lay it out and see how it looks. The black and white may not look too good and may become pillows or something....

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!

More fabric mini quilts

I'm really getting into the fabric and lace!!!! Such fun to actually use your stash!!! I just listed both of these on Etsy, they're ACEO (artist card edition originals) and measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". I still haven't made a dent in my lace... I have oodles of it. Maybe I'll list some of it in my Etsy shop.... Can you believe Christmas is only 36 days away?!!!!!!!!!

This week I have been sewing up a storm, working on the fan quilt for my daughter. I think I have 36 squares done, I need 56 all together, so 20 more to go. It would be nice if I could get it done for Christmas! I'm cutting the pieces for the 2nd fan quilt as I cut for this one. That should make that one go a little faster. Then I'll be a doing a big square quilt of some kind for my son....

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!!!

My most recent watercolor quilt

Remember a few weeks ago I showed you the bottom of my most recent watercolor quilt? Well my mom got it and so now I can show you the whole thing.

I forgot to have someone hold it up for me to take a photo so it's draped over the couch. I had to crop and resize to get Blogger to put it on here right side up... I am so glad to be done with this! And all the needle tracks from the previous 3 times of sewing it up and ripping it out disappeared when I put it in the wash, that's good to know. I don't know if you remember, but the final quilting was done by hand. My fingers were feeling like pincushions!!! I'm definitely going to have to figure out how to get my machine to do the free motion or get another machine, I'm not doing that by hand again. Anyway I think it turned out really cool...

I've also been working on the fan quilt for daughter, trying to get that done ~ I need 56 squares and have 30. Well, unless I decide to put a bigger border on it...

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome week!!!

Mini quilties/ACEOs added to Etsy

I just listed two more ACEOs in my Etsy shop! They measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". I'm trying to stock up for Christmas. Can you believe it's only 5 1/2 weeks away?!!!!!

Hopefully the rest of the winter will fly by and spring will be here before we know it! It was a balmy 7 degrees this morning at 6 am. Brrrrrrr!!!! We had about 6" of snow over the weekend, Denver got a foot, again. One of these days maybe we'll get a big dump again....

I worked this morning but I'm hoping to get down to my sewing area tonight and sew up some more of these. They're so much fun to make! And if you're one of my customers on Etsy, Thank You for your purchase/purchases! I appreciate it!

My kids are telling me it's time to go fix dinner. Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome week!!!

Another new art quilt!

I cannot seem to pull myself away from the sewing machine!!! I am having a blast making these art quilts! I just listed this one on Etsy also! Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner?!!!! Time flies...
I guess I'm having so much fun with these partly because I just got my ink jet printer hooked back up and can print these photos on fabric now!!! It's been awhile! I know there are lots of transfer methods and I can sew paper to fabric but for some reason it's just so nice to be able to print onto fabric...
I am being lazy today, which is rare for me. Usually I'm going somewhat non-stop, I have so much to create it's hard to even sit down and read a book. Hmmm, sounds like I have ADHD, well ADD anyway, I have been flitting between crazy quilting, jewelry making, stamping, art quilts.... you get the idea! Why do I always wait until it's almost Christmas to load up my Etsy shop? I've got to learn to start in July! :D
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have an awesome day!

A new collage

I started to solder some pendants the other day and realized I need some collages to solder... plus I was having so many different creative ideas that I didn't get anything done! I hate it when that happens, well I love all the ideas but I end up not knowing which one to go with. Anyway, I did make myself do a collage. I will size this down for a soldered pendant.
I picked up some more copper foil tape and have some of the wavy edged tape on order. Wonder where my glass cutter got off to?
Yesterday I also finally found some purse frames so I can work on some crazy quilted purses!!! I have been looking all over the city to no avail, but finally found some!
Now if I can just get all this done in a week so I can put them all in my Etsy shop for Christmas.... I need to remember to start doing Christmas projects in July, or maybe I'll just continue now and I'll be ready for next year. Oh, and then there is continuing with the lacy collages..... so much to do, so little time!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have an artistic day!!!

May do some soldering today...

Another glorious fall sunrise! I never get tired of them!
The second photo is of the youngest of our 3 cats, she's two, I think. Izzy is ornery!!!! She may be a kitten forever! She loves sitting on the kitchen counter and on the kitchen and dining room tables, just because we tell her no and keep taking her down... She doesn't get the hint from being sprayed either...
My artistic ADD has kicked in this morning! I have been wanting to get back to soldering some pendants for quite awhile!!! It's too cold out in the garage so I dusted off my supplies and brought them in the house. I see someone has been into my copper tape - an artistic teenager... Hopefully I'll have enough tape to get done what I want this morning without having to run to Hobby Lobby. If I go there I won't get any art done this morning! I love that store!
I popped over to Sally Jean's website for some inspiration:
She takes such beautiful photos! I love robin's egg blue and she has a photo montage with it! And her soldering work is fabulous!!!! Be sure and stop over if you're looking for inspiration!
And as always, thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!!!!
